CLIVE LIPINSKl: Sports Physiotherapist & Registered Acupuncturist

Clive Lipinskii Clive Lipinskii

Clive emigrated from Johannesburg South Africa in 1987 and joined the Balaclava St. Kilda Physiotherapy in 1990.
He is an APA titled Sports Physiotherapist as well as a registered Acupuncturist and enjoys combining both his acupuncture techniques with his physiotherapy modalities. Clive's holistic approach to treatment gives him the ability to manage an extensive list of conditions and ailments

Major Physiotherapy achievements:

  • 1997 - present Physiotherapist - Formula One Grand Prix drivers, Australian Grand Prix.
  • Physiotherapist - the Subaru Rally Team (1991-1993).
  • Physiotherapist - Melbourne Football Club (1987-1989).
  • ATP Physiotherapist - South African Tennis Open.
 
 
 

AMIR PERZUCK: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Amir has over 20 years experience, initially working at the Alfred Hospital before joining the Balaclava St Kilda Physiotherapy Centre in 1996.
Having completed a Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 1999 which included research into the differential diagnosis of back pain, he has developed a special interest in assessing and the treatment of back pain.
Amir also maintains a keen interest in community sporting organizations as a participant, administrator and physiotherapist.

Major Physiotherapy achievements:

  • Master of Manipulative Physiotherapy (1999).
  • Head Physiotherapist Ajax Senior Football Club (2001-2006).
  • Head Physiotherapist Australian Maccabiah Team, Israel (2005-2009)..
 
 
 

AMANDA LEE: Physiotherapist

Amanda Previous to joining Balaclava St. Kilda Physiotherapy Centre Amanda worked in private practice treating a wide variety of conditions. Here she gained valuable experience in using Clinical Pilates as a treatment regime to rehabilitate varied clients, from pre and postnatal to sporting injuries.

She believes in taking a holistic approach to improving her clients' health and well-being. This involves equipping clients with tools to manage their conditions and also take an active role in their treatment.
Amanda enjoys keeping active through yoga, netball, boxing and of course Pilates..

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
  • Stotts Pilates RMR1

Interests:

  • Real time ultrasound assessment, lumbopelvic (lower back) dysfunctions, cervical spine (neck) related pain, injury prevention.

Experience:

  • Pre and postnatal physiotherapy and exercise.
  • Worked as physiotherapist for VAFA football teams.
  • Worked in private practice specializing in Clinical Pilates.
 
Elise Lenssen
 

ELISE LENSSEN: Physiotherapist

Elise studied physiotherapy at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand and has been with BSPC for 4 years;
Elise also coordinates the Pilates rehabilitation program at BSPC.
Elise is passionate about physiotherapy and returning people to work and play as soon as possible after injury and pain.
Her clinical interests include the hip and pelvis region, shoulder region, pre and post-natal care, paediatric physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation.

Major Physiotherapy achievements:

  • John Morris Award for Clinical Excellence (award for clinical excellence at Auckland University)
  • Physiotherapist for U/21 East Coast Bay Rugby.
  • Research Assistant for Dr. Duncan Reid - Head of the division of Rehabilitation and Occupational studies at the Auckland University of Technology.

 
Elise Lenssen
 
 

NOGA SCHARF: Physiotherapist

Noga is our newest addition to the team. She previously worked as a physiotherapist at Cabrini Rehabilitation Hospital and has experience in pre and post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain, spinal injuries and musculo-skeletal conditions. She has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of spinal and sports injuries, as well as post surgical procedures and women's health. With the added advantage of completing a Clinical Pilates course, Noga is able devise a comprehensive individualised programme to help you achieve your goals and return to sport and exercise successfully. Noga enjoys keeping active through Dancing, Pilates, Running and Skiing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy at University of Melbourne
  • Clinical Pilates Level 2 at Australian Pilates Methods Association
  • Sports Trainer at Old Xaverians' Football Cluby.
